| I bought myself prescription sunglasses, the Ray Ban 3119 Olympia frames, and they are great. The feature I loved the most was the Drivewear "coating" that allows the lenses to go darker behind the windshield of a car. The lenses then return to their 50% tint in indoor situations. But the best thing is I don't really need to take them off when in a well-lit shopping area, or any well-lit room at all. That 50% tint allows me to see perfectly in those places.
Regular Transitions lenses react to sunlight, and I have that coating on my regular everyday progressive prescription eyeglasses. But they never got dark while I was in my car, and this was where I needed them the most. So Drivewear, the newest feature for today's sunglasses is worth every penny. I highly recommend it for devoted drivers!
After shopping in many, many eyeglass salons, and the bigger stores like Sears Optical, Pearl Vision, LensCrafters, even Wal-Mart, I found the pricing was always better on simplyeyeglasses.com. Plus, the selection is at least of 200% greater than at any eyeglass salon or major provider. Also, the online chat feature helps enormously, and the people on the other end of that feature are friendly and very helpful. I also had the pleasure of talking to their customer service people, and found them to be very informative and they walked me thru my online purchase, which I definitely needed.
